Personalities

These two photos give a good sense of the kids these days:

Garin is absurdly full of energy and on the move. He is also very opinionated and stubborn at times while super sweet and snugly at others (sometimes what we refer to as "rapid cycling" in the mental health field, and that doesn't mean biking fast, unfortunately).
Nyle is goofy and exploring everything. He has a lot of signs (please, more, milk, food, drink, sleep, potty, play, dog, cat, bird) and also babbles all the time. He took his first couple steps today so we'll see how quickly full-fledged walking happens.

This one's for you, Alex and Mom

Since you two seem to be the only ones who are unwilling to give up hope and continue to check back in despite looooooooong posting absences. These are all photos that we got from Scott's camera when he was here in December.

Here is Garin showing his bike-riding skills...At karate (he got his advanced-white-belt patch today!)...And the Yellow Submarine that he and Scott built...And then in the way-back-machine for some others that Scott had on his computer (the first two are from when Scott used to help pick out his clothes; we can see where Garin gets his unique sense of style)

Football in the park requires at least two different patterns...
He's not looking at art, he IS the art...Or a very flamboyant cowboy...And here's Nyle last summer...

We still exist!

Once again, I will try to get better about updating the blog. If anyone is even still out there looking at it ...

Here are some December pics:

Adoption Day - As anticlimactic as everyone said it would be.
But Garin did get to bang the gavel.
And the kids were cute in their cowboy shirts (they refused to pose well for a photo - though this does represent their current personalities quite well).

Moms and Kids-
Patriots fans:
And a self-snapshot:
Nyle's Birthday -
FIRE! Let me have the fire!
Ohmigod, the fire isn't the good part, there's sugar!
And presents. Which seem less exciting after the sugar.
Christmas -
Uncle Scott's in town!
Humm, oranges don't taste as good as they look.
